During the ultrasound they found some swelling and twisting in the bowel that is on the outside of his body. A complication that can happen that ive been trying to put out of my mind but is now a part of what we have to face. Not good news. He just all around wasn't doing what doctors wanted him to.
Because of everything they were finding they sent me to labor and delivery to be induced in fear that Cameron was no longer safe inside my belly. When my mom and I got there we heard different opinions from several of my doctors and by the time 1:45 came around they had an entire set of different actions they were taking. They must have argued and thought about it over lunch haha. I was not induced. They monitored Cameron and I for several hours and then decided to send us home.
The good news:
Cameron is being watched closely and is doing ok on his own for a little longer.
I am dilated 1 cm and things seem to be progressing well.
The Van Horns have had a practice run and now know where to go and what to have for when everything really happens.
I love all my doctors and feel very comfortable with each of them.
I wasn't going to put this one up because you can see some of his bowel that has come out at the bottom of the picture. But just ignore that and look at his cute little baby hands :)
Right under my right rib! The most uncomfortable spot for a foot to be kicking. But what can I say he's cute so I forgive him.
The most precious face!! I don't have a picture to show for it but he has tons of hair on the back of his head! The nurses said they want it to be curly like mine when he's born haha.
Trying to stay positive and tough! -Meg
